Bridge Tower

When private developers looked at creating a unique community in the fast growing suburb of Boise, Idaho, they envisioned a distinctly unique plan. BridgeTower was designed to surround those living there with the feel of unusual bellezza (beauty) both indoors and out. They selected the inviting villages of Italy because they are intimate, quaint and friendly.

A place of exceptional vision, BridgeTower reflects a classic timelessness with tree lined avenues, courtyards, columned trellises and lush walking paths like the Italian landscape dotted with towers and crossed by bridges.

To make this really come to life, the developers brought in experts like Jim Moyer who is an expert in designing large irrigation projects.

Jim chose the Baseline Central control system with its integrated two-wire/decoder technology and sensor technology for several important reasons. The diversity, locations and complexity of the landscape required a wiring strategy that only a two-wire/decoder system could provide. "The savings in wiring alone paid for the system. We looked at all the two wire systems and only Baseline had the capabilities and flexibility we needed."

The many hydro zones and water uses required a new approach to water management. The Baseline sensor control technology solved the complex problem of site management. The landscape literally "waters itself" thereby eliminating the massive amount of manual intervention and never ending clock adjustments.

With an initial installation of over 350 valves, just finding a zone could be difficult. Not so with Baseline's unique mapping software. Now the maintenance personnel do not need to remember zone numbers, because all control is with visual graphics that can be scanned and updated easily. "This system has capabilities that even the largest golf systems don't have."

More sections of the project are coming online every day. The site will have over 1500 valves when finished. "With the Baseline System, I am not incurring the expense of adding additional clocks and clock controllers. In the end, the Baseline system will cost just a fraction of other systems and have many more times the capability".

The old world is coming home...with the use of modern technology.
