IMPORTANT NOTES

  • The BaseStation 3200 firmware version 12 and higher is not compatible with Legacy BaseManager (version 1.4.10). If you want to update your controller to the current firmware version and keep your BaseManager access, you will need to move to  the current version of BaseManager. Please contact Baseline (866-294-5847) or your local Baseline dealer.
  • You can update the firmware on a BaseStation 3200 controller (manufactured after July 20, 2012) over the Internet if a connection is available. Printable Instructions

Update Options for Legacy BaseStation 3200 Controllers

If you want to update your BaseStation 3200 controller that is operating on firmware version 11.7.5.15 (or earlier) to the current firmware version, Baseline offers the following options:

- Receive the firmware update on a USB thumb drive and overlay stickers for the buttons and the dial (Baseline part number: BL-3200-V12UPG2A)

- Receive the firmware update on a USB thumb drive and a complete faceplate sticker

Option #3
- Receive the firmware update on a USB thumb drive and a new metal faceplate for the controller with the new faceplate sticker applied. You will remove the electronics from the back of your original faceplate and attach them to the new faceplate and then install the new faceplate onto the controller.

Option #4
- You send the complete controller faceplate with the electronics attached to Baseline. Baseline replaces the faceplate sticker, updates to the current firmware, and restores your programming and data.  This option requires an RMA# and Purchase Order.  Allow for 5 business days plus shipping time.

Update Instructions

IMPORTANT NOTE: We always recommend that you perform a system backup before you update the controller firmware. If you experience issues with the firmware update, you can restore your controller to the previous configuration.

  1. Plug a USB drive into a USB port on the computer.
  2. Click the button to download the firmware update.
  3. When prompted, choose the Save As option. The Save As dialog box displays.
  4. Find the USB drive in the list of drives and folders, and then double-click to select it.
  5. Click Save.

Note: Save the update file at the top level of the USB drive (in other words, do not put the file into a folder). Do not change the file name. We recommend that you download the file to a USB drive that does not have other important files on it.

  1. Close the Windows Explorer window for the USB drive.
  2. In the System Tray area of your Windows Desktop, click the option to Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media.
  3. When the Safe to Remove Hardware message displays, unplug the USB drive from the computer.
  4. On the BaseStation 1000 controller, plug the USB drive that has the Update file on it into the USB port.
  5. Press the System Setup button. The System Setup menu displays.
  6. Press the Down Arrow button to highlight the Firmware Update option, and then press the OK button to select it. The Firmware Update menu displays.
  7. The USB Update option should be highlighted. If it is not highlighted, press the Down Arrow button to highlight it, and then press the OK button to select it. The USB Update screen displays.
  8. The controller reads the contents of the USB drive and displays the update information in the Status field. When the update file is available, the status line reads “Update File is OK.”
  9. Press the + button to apply the update. When the update is complete, the controller restarts and briefly displays the new firmware version.
  10. Unplug the USB drive from the port on the controller.

Legacy BaseStation 3200

The latest BaseStation 3200 code release is 11.7.5.15.  It was released on 1/20/2012.

To find out what version of Firmware currently running in your BaseStation 3200, turn the dial to the AUX dial position. We recommend that you update your controller firmware whenever an update is available.

Legacy BaseManager

The current release of BaseManager 1.0 is 1.4.10.  It was released on 2/11/2011. 



BaseManager 1.0 only works with BaseStation 3200 code version 9.8.28.13 or newer (up to 11.7.5.15) and requires a supported communication module.


PC System Requirements:

  • Windows XP SP 2.0, Vista SP 1.0 or Windows 7
    • NOTE:  BaseManager 1.4.10 is NOT compatible with Windows 8
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
  • 1024x768 or higher resolution display
  • 512MB RAM (1GB for Vista or Windows 7)
  • 800MB hard disk space
  • Hardware and services for desired connectivity method:
    • Internet connection for Cell Modem, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Ethernet Radio
    • Phone Modem for Dial-Up
    • Serial Port for Direct Connection and Radio
  • Recommended at least Pentium 4 CPU or equivalent
